The sky is dreary today. I have sat in front of the fireplace (with it trying to roar) and kept warm enough most all day, too warm at times so much that I fall asleep there. Which in the end just makes me cranky, I don’t take naps too well \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
I just don’t feel like doing much else. Yesterday I moved the extra fridge in the kitchen to a different spot and put my computer and desk in the back corner. I like it here alright, it’s just far in the corner, which is nice, but a dreary day is a dark day. The daylight that comes in the window near me is dull gray today. On less overcast days the light would be sunny coming through, a treat since my desk has been anywhere but near a window for a long time. I can feel that I’m near a window now and really feeling the drudgery of a gray day as such, with much to do and no energy to do anything much.<\/p>\n
I have sorting out of supplies and papers and what-not that accumulated on my desk in the old position, and it’s cluttering up chairs and the dining table near where it used to all be on my desk and the surrounding floor. We have had take-out last night and this lunch time, with enough room for the children to squeeze into the table to eat, but not a family meal and so we didn’t try at all to clear off more space for everyone at once. I do need to get some thing sorted out there, DH has football on the TV now though, and that makes my motivating music choices a no-no at this time. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n
Beyond that I do feel like cooking, something with garlic. But what, I don’t know, and I don’t feel like perusing cookbooks or interent cooking sites, or my brain to find an idea. Gray days are such in the Winter-ish time.<\/p>\n
I recently did get “daylight” bulbs to try out, two boxes, that makes eight to try in fixtures. Three went into our bedroom fan-light fixture. Nice!<\/p>\n
I was going to put four of the five left in the fan-light fixture in the living space where the fireplace is, but then noticed that the light in the kitchen, the old chandelier fixture that was our “eat in kitchen dining room” of old, has five sockets for lightbulbs. Since that area is boxed in from exterior light (since french doors have been removed and it was plywooded up) I decided to put them there. Great idea! It’s lovely. Pure bright light, not harsh or yellow. (the bulbs are shaded a light blue, which makes the light the pure whiteness that it is when it comes into the room.)<\/p>\n
Of course I didn’t get into the groove at all today, and that kitchen fixture hasn’t been turned on. Doofusy me.<\/p>\n
I have a desire to just go out and see or do something, it’s that blahdom today. It’s drippy outside at times too. DH doesn’t want to go out. I don’t blame him. It’s really bad to go where movie theatres and shopping centres are this month, on a SATURDAY! So I feel stucker than I really am.
