I had wanted a Sony Z3 or Z5, but that isn’t going to work out anytime soon on Sprint, so I looked and looked at what Sprint had to offer on their Website. Finally, after looking up lots of information I had decided it’d be best to get a Samsung, though I have hated TouchWiz since coming into contact with it via my Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 a few years ago. Talk about S6 lines and TouchWiz were more gracious than I had expected, so with the S6 Edge+ 64gb in Platinum Gold I finally settled.

I like this phone a lot. So very, very much. It’s big, but thin, and very, very light weight. Going from a Nexus 5 to this phone, S6 Edge+ is an incredible leap forward, even though my Nexus 5 was on Android M and the S6 is still on Android L.

The Camera and Video abilities of this Edge+ are awesome. My Nexus 5 long ago ran far behind any of the newer phone cameras. The weather hasn’t been very nice, so I haven’t gotten any good subjects to take as examples to post. I will in the future though.

The headset that comes with this phone is really good. It may not be super good compared to other things, but an in the box pair of headphones … nice. The different earpiece scared me at first, but gives good fit once one realizes how to put them in. Two speakers on each L/R make lovely bass and high tones. Good sound right into your ears! (Way nicer than my Beats on the ears, ouch!)

Android now makes it easy to delete or disable most apps you don’t want on your phone (that come pre-loaded.) This is really good because I don’t like Sprint Bloatware, nor Samsung Bloatware. I’d been using a Nexus 5 plain vanilla Android for almost 2 years. I don’t like my app drawer full of junk. I don’t want things I don’t want.

Menus/Settings … bless you Samsung, they are virtually the same as vanilla Android. Just more colorful. (I get so very frustrated whenever I need to check settings on my Hubbies LG G3!)

I also got a back cover (Clear Gold) which keeps the beauty of the phone with it easier to keep a nice looking back (not as many smudges, easier to buff smooth with a micro cloth.) The cover hugs the corners which also protects that same part of the phone in case of a fall. I don’t intend to LET it fall, just that it might fall as phones inevitably often/usually do at some point.

Bottom Line: I Love my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ 64gb phone! Twice as much space as I’ve lived with on my phone the last 2 years. No hope of more on either old or new phone, I can live with it, Google Music is my good friend, and Google Photos, plus uploading to so many other sites … it’s not the worst thing to not have expandable memory.

P.S. I encourage my husband to get a regular S6 or Note5 if he breaks his current phone. 😉 Very nice phones, and wireless charging (which is the other incredibly needful feature for me that Nexus 5 had and so does my current phone) is great by the bedside.

I got a new phone this past week.
