I had confused myself with what I wanted to do with this theme, and wasted my time trying to keep my PHOTOS category out of this stream of posts, when really I just didn’t want that, only was confusing myself since starting to use the wp-piclens-lite plugin (for photos) and it was so stupid of me.<\/p>\n

I recognize with perfect hindsight vision that while I was racking my brains and the internet to find the right coding solution, and frustrated that what “should” work “wasn’t working, I saw code that made me know deep down, but ignore, which stated exactly what I was doing, and had done before with my old theme, just was not duplicating the current PHOTO special post in the stream below, until a new photo category post it would sit at the top, then fall to the correct spot in dates of the post stream. AUGHH I was so dumb. It’d be easy to exclude the entire category if I’d only been trying to do that, but I was fixating for some reason on the PHOTO category in a different way.<\/p>\n

MY headache I have now is for no good cause, except to remind me how stupid I was, and not to do that again!<\/p>\n

It works fine to use “$my_query = new WP_Query” for the special loop … (category_name=featured&showposts=1:) … then use “< ?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post();\" \n\nWhich is detailed on codex.wordpress.org\/The_Loop#Multiple_Loops_in_Action<\/a><\/p>\n
