I miss my Duo 2 soooo much. Like a runaway cat that got out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Surface Duo 2 is in for warranty exchange but languishing in the system. Not knowing whether or not I’ll get one back ever is up in the air. (Not secretly wishing I do get one, I am open about the fact I want one back as a wi-fi device.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I need a phone. Pixel 7 is not the phone I’d actually pick, rather have the Pro 256gb or even the regular Pixel 7 256gb, or something Samsung instead … but here I am awaiting a Pixel 7 128gb from AT&T.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be a regular old phone. Nothing special about it (Like Duo 2 is so very special.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s not a NOTE variety from Samsung either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least this will have a case, unlike my Duo 2 (my use of skins and bumper though were great for it,) which has very little to offer as cases to use functionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duo 2 though is a device I had no trouble with though, it balanced easily, never fell, never crashed. Easy to keep in great condition, except for manufacturer defects of screen … that’s the only reason I put it forward to exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So having a phone again, 6.3″ … sized like the old Samsung Note5 and S6 Edge+ that I have on my desk. I have my SIM in the NOTE5, I can get LTE (4G) on it, so text messages and data out and about when no wi-fi is on. The S6 I just use as a wi-fi device. Both cameras are OK and filled in for Duo 2 when here sometimes, and now that it’s not here, I only have them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m not jazzed about the 6.3″ size of the Pixel 7 … depends on how the UI is and what looks good, finger placement … ugh. At least Note phones had a stylus to make it easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hated how finger typing was on smaller width phones. Duo 2 was great 3 3\/8 ” wide whereas the other phones as above, samsung, are 3″ or less wide. 3\/8″ makes for a much wider soft keyboard therefore making it easier to type on Duo 2, top to bottom screen on Duo 2 is more than 5″ and samsung phones are less than that. All means real-estate on Duo 2 is best. It’s a great Reader and the nice digital old bible I use works on it to beg me to read. Without it, it’s an unpleasant task. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case on the Pixel 7 will make it safer if it falls. I’m a bit worried about the screen, which I never was on my Duo 2. I can close my Duo 2, safe that way. A phone without a cover on top, not what I like, but I also stop loving my Note20 with the LED cover because it was unwieldy and fell twice while holding it, and it fell just like buttered toast falls. Face down. Spat. Hole, tiny albeit , and another time some light scratches. Ugh. I hate defects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I gave that phone to my youngest to use when I got the Duo 2 in May 2022. I only got to use it for 7 months. It was my heart and soul. I was sucker punched. I feel sick inside. So sad, so pitiful. Such loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I just got an email about my Duo 2 Warranty process, no stock, forwarding my case to Refund department. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! More on that later.
