Nope. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If anything all along we were 7a\/7b kind of thing, but not hedging towards 8 at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s garbage, 8 was southern Georgia. It&#8217;s very hot there. We are not 8, no freaking way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here we get a Winter, and Spring, and Summer and Autumn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At any rate, using the USDA site&#8217;s map &#8230; they say we live in 8b. Hahahaha<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I can grow herbs, some of them over winter fine, sometimes they don&#8217;t. Most things that can grow in colder climes grow for me fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year it was cold early,<a href=\"https:\/\/hyperthinking.us\/weblog\/2022\/10\/19\/first-fire-22-23-cold-seasons\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"6225\"> cold enough for several days in October to use the fireplace<\/a> in our house. This hadn&#8217;t happened before. We had first freeze in October in 2022. Usually it was Nov 15th, pretty much right about then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year 2023 October 31st 32 degrees for a low. 29 degrees the next day. All the other stuff is gangly and lots of dead branches, mint, and lemon balm, and bee balm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2022 killed my rosemary that had gone on for at least 4 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2023 I got two new rosemary plants, so far they are still alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So it seem to me things are not as hot and colder earlier and colder overall.
