I recently got B&W film for my old Canon Rebel SLR 35mm film camera I have had for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I loaded a roll, and all was A-OK. I wasn’t sure if there was an off button for the little display area, hit the wrong thing, OH NOOOOOO!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Display still on 24 hrs later …<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I had taken one picture thus far, rewound the entire roll by accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leader for the film was cleanly fully inside the film canister<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I found this reddit post<\/a>, and this Youtube video<\/a>, and successfully rescued my new film roll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addendum: I just now [4-3-2024 2:39pm EDT] learned that the red item on dial at mark is as OFF as it can be, the display changes to lesser info.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
