Daughter and I made my cake and frosted it this afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Something darkly horrid to make as a layer cake, but we did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Black Magic Cake. To see the crumbs in the frosting? Can’t be helped. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My newer (for some years already) favorite frosting Vanilla Frosting from America’s Test Kitchen cookbook which we have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But oh how decadent it will be (as long as the ants don’t find it.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have it all wrapped up in layers, and I mean LAYERS of plastic wrap to deter them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
