It’s done by the Chamber Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Conservatory. I’m not claiming this is the best version of this piece, it’s just the one I have on CD. Also on this same disc is Antonin Dvorak’s Serenade for String Orchestra in E Major, Op. 22, the same orchestra.

I haven’t done much with music the last several years, so my collection is stalled. I’m pulling things out lately and refreshing myself, so I thought it’d be a good topic here, and anyone else can post their favorite, or ones they like a lot, “Classical” pieces or Composers, or Performers, etc. Good Discs to look for, that kind of thing, to help anyone that might be looking, and also to just brag up your favorite things!

So I love of course the two mentioned above. Most anything by them. I love Cello concertos, which one I have is: Dvorak, Concerto in B Minor, Op. 104 – Gregor Piatigorsky on Cello, Boston Symphony Orchestra.

There’s plenty more spanning the years of great composers and I’ll plainly just stop writing in this post, and add things via comments as time goes on.
