Rock Vegas coming soon!

Going to the Rock Vegas Festival this coming weekend. It’ll be crazy, fun, maybe hot (dry heat at least?) … some of it outside, the main stage inside at night has the bigger bands. There are lots of bands that I want to hear some of, which are on the outside stage.

I have some of the music from the bands that will be there. Mostly not though. I listen to Octane (XM 37) so I’m very familiar with most of them and am looking forward to it so much.

One CD I got recently is Baroness “Yellow and Green” and I so much LOVE it! I first heard Take My Bones Away on Octane this Summer. By the 3rd listen I was hooked on it and started looking online about them. I was totally saddened when I heard about their accident, and made sure that next time I had extra money I’d find their latest in Best Buy or  Target. So I finally was able to do that the other week. Wow! Awesome. I’d love to hear their earlier stuff and also maybe get to see them live someday.

So as to what I have, I have some Rob Zombie cd’s and Stone Sour’s, a Shinedown track (Her Name is Alice) and that’s about it. I love Godsmack’s music, Shinedown’s, and really like stuff from P.O.D., New Medicine, All That Remains, Otherwise, Staind, Buckcherry, Adelitas Way, Art of Dying, … just for starters.

I don’t know WHAT the Stone Sour thing is about at Rock Vegas, but they’ve changed it to say “Corey Taylor” … that’s great, fine, he’s awesome but what does it signify? WTF? Stone Sour not there? Whatever he sings, fine. I love anything he’d do (probably)

Saturday will be awesome! Friday will be really good too. I don’t know any Fozzy or Mindset Evolution music. I’ve heard of them, but that’s it. Friday night is a good line-up. I know all of them. I don’t know everything, but I like everyone’s sound and style. On Saturday the only one I don’t like is Marilyn Manson.
