This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things

I have seen people use the phrase “This is why we can’t have nice things” off and on, here and there.

Lately I am seeing it everywhere, thanks to Nintendo Cancelling SpotPass Swapnoting (Sending Swapnotes to other 3DS Friends via the internet)

I am not in favour of anyone doing nasty things with SwapNotes, but there MUST be another way to handle this.

This is why we can’t have nice things. Nintendo throws the baby out with the bathwater. I still feel horrible about it and wonder if I should sell my 3DS XL. I just got it in July  2013 and was really enjoying it. It was painful to find out I don’t like it for the games at all. No. SwapNote was the meat of the system. Not the games.
