My New Abilene Boots

I got a new pair of boots, bought them online. Usually shoes are not a problem for me, size 6M is very standard for me, the one thing that is.

All boots need to be broken-in. If they fit well right away, they’ll be too big later. (I have a nice pair with snake-skin insets that I only wore once. TOO big, salesperson said I was fine in them, they were slipping way more than they should, on the heel, IMO, and at home, it’s horrible. I have to get something to go inside the boots so I can wear them and actually walk.)

At any rate my new ones are good western style boots. Abilene Style# 9141 I want them for knocking around in, just around the house, and when I go to the store, concerts, etc.

I had a pair of 1994 purchased boots that I wore until earlier this month. The sole split on the right boot, the overall condition of them was well worn, not really worth re-sole-ing, not an expensive pair of boots at all. Just because they are so well fitting it might be worth it, but really, I’d rather spend time in a better pair of boots that I like more, new. So I know they aren’t super great boots, but they are good and that’s what I’m wanting.

My Abilene’s I got from kenwooden.com for $133.00 … I ordered them on Feb. 9th and they arrived this afternoon. I didn’t know when they’d arrive, so was pleasantly surprised that I could start breaking them in today. (You can find the boots online or in stores for a much higher price tag.)
