Winter Storm March 2022

Post Published:

It’s cold. I awoke last night to a boooom! Looked at radar on my phone, Whoah! Yellow Red angry line marching from west to east at an angle right on top of us.

The rain pelted the roof and windows and sides of our house. In the morning the rain was gone. The sky clear, temps around 33, with a 11 degree lower windchill. Blustery, and the Crabapple tree was showering blossoms … shed nearly everything in just a few hours.

One of our Yoshino Cherry trees started blossoming the other day, not full blossoming though. The other two are still not close to that. Regardless, any blossom this early is odd.

Our Lady Banks climbing rose is looking like it will blossom very soon, that is early, extremely odd.

All our maple trees blossomed last week. Early. Especially standing out is our October Glory variant, it started first, odd.

Our Redbud trees are in full blossom. Early.

And last night, today, and tonight are particularly cold, like Winter full on here.

So this is the last or second to last probable fireplace use for this season:

First Fire in awhile!
