Well, church went well today. The first service was great, great hymns and great sermon. It was the last in a short series on the offices of Elder and Deacon. We will be selecting men to apply for the offices in the next month, then voting as a congregation. Our church votes by household.
We had dinner all together, then the traditional evening service was held right after dinner, to make for a long day, but not the long day of going to church, then home, then back to church. It was just go to church … then home 🙂
The children all napped during the second service … which was fine. It was on Revelation 18. Going through Revelation for awhile now. It’s not a scary book to study, or non-understandable, as so many Christians think it is. Moderate Preterism, or Partial Preterism. A.D. 70 Fall of Jerusalem. Those terms can be used to clue one in on what we believe about Revelation 😉
