“Charging Wirelessly”
“Charging Slowly”
“Charging Rapidly”
Pixel 7. On Samsung Wireless Charger, just Charging Wirelessly. Very slowly too, while Samsung devices say Fast Charging Wirelessly.
I connected Pixel 7 to my USB-C cord that is plugged into my PC USB-C power port, Instant “Charging Slowly” message, then a couple of seconds later “Charging Rapidly” OK.
I only had it on my wireless charger yesterday, trying to get the APN figured out and setting up the phone, updates, etc. took it away from it’s wireless power source very frequently.
Right now it’s finally at 55%. I had it on my bedside table safely stowed overnight.
So no, now it’s at 60%.
I want it to get to 100% then it will be top off here and there, but not needing to do 100% all the time.
Differences in Charging Language
Pixel 7: Full in “….”
Samsung: About “…” until fully charged.
Just going to have to get used to this.
History Lesson
This is the first wirelessly chargeable phone that is not Samsung for me in a very long time. Palm Pre and Nexus 5 were before Samsung for me. Ahh way back then I ALMOST got a Windows phone, but got into Treo instead. That led to Palm Pre, niche lovely little thing, it’s only goodness was wireless charging and that slide out keyboard, oh yummy. Software was nothing to think about writing home regarding. I still have that Palm Pre, but the Nexus 5 is dead. It can’t hold a charge, turns off even plugged in. It’s a piece of … has no use beside being an ugly paperweight.
I keep one of those Treo phones in a drawer and pull it out and charge, play Bejeweled for a bit now and then. A nice history lesson.
