Guitar Hero III Medium; GHWT

I wrote here on September 19th about Guitar Hero III on Easy mode, and that I wasn’t too anxious to begin Medium, but eventually I did just that, on Sept 25th precisely. I wasn’t very good at it at first, but did get some better with practice of the solo on Slow Ride, for starters. From there I did move on down the list of songs, and arrived at the bottom more recently, I didn’t even TRY the last set of songs for over a month, I just went back and improved previous songs and worked on some Bonus songs as well, all in Medium, and occasionally delving back into Easy.

So then, more recently I jumped into the last set of songs and got through 3 of them enough to meet Lou … and have tried a few times, but haven’t beat him yet.

I didn’t play again for several days, then did some, and later on in October in Costco I convinced DH to let us buy Guitar Hero World Tour, and he thought it was the Areosmith one, but it was what it was, and so we got a new game and a new guitar. I started a band in that one and have played (Single, Guitar) most of the songs on Easy, and also have tried Medium on a few songs. It acts differently from GH III, that much is for sure. I didn’t know in advance that my band would unlock everything on the first mode playing it, well, at least that’s how it looks thus far. I have played everything in the original game except for one or two $ payable sets. I haven’t gotten good enough with Easy mode to win back much of the money I spent on the other sets that cost in game point money. I’m working through the songs in Easy, and Medium a bit, to improve scores/earn more money, but it’s slow going to recoup that “money”.

I’ve used my new Guitar in GH III to play multiplayer things with the children. The colored keys feel different to me than the Les Paul controller for GH III that I was accustomed to. It feels funny using the new one to play songs in GH III, makes it difficult to play the Medium stuff. The keys feel “thicker” or “taller” in some manner.

I have a guitar hero . com account and find it fun to look at my stats there, haven’t yet gotten up the guts to join any tournaments, or play anyone online. I was very, very disappointed to discover after we brought the game home, a few days after it was initially released, that the website isn’t yet up for GHWT. Urgh! I have that frustrated feeling every time I start GHWT and see the wi-fi thing. I checked a few days ago to see if it was online and it still wasn’t, but just now I checked again and voila! I can link GH WT to my profile.

Songs show up on that under Recent Performances, but nothing under the Solo career area yet. I guess I’ll have to play everything again or it’ll show up next time I “log on” with GHWT. To make it clear, I did connect to wi-fi account each time I started WT, even without having it linked to my account, and info did arrive since I played what it shows a couple of days ago, and I just now linked my WT game to my account online. FWIW.

Cleaning Up (Out)

It’s mid November 2008 nearly, already. Things have been busy, and not so very interesting to write about, at least not on this blog, and not much on my other either. At any rate, the thing I’m writing about now is something I’ve started and am going further with beginning today.

It’s a detox program for the bowels, something that everyone should actually do more often than never, but doubtfully a lot of people never really do it. It’s a natural version I’m doing and the first step is to make everything work normally as it should be all the time, but isn’t for me exactly and then the next step is the cleaning. This is a gross subject, I won’t go into detail, but I wanted to write about it since it’s the first line of defense in the body, also the offense. This is something I’ve thought about for some years, and didn’t want to do anything about it until I found a natural herbal way to do it that was easy enough.

Detoxing the major organs is important and can be done once the bowels are first detoxed. It is supposed to make one have more energy and lose some inches in the stomach area as well just for starters with this first detox, then other things can be done to get more healthy results, and feel better than ever in years. For me, I’m hoping to alleviate migraines, or at least limit them, and also get hormones naturally flowing for what my body should be doing, and have some positive impact on allergies or my response to things that cause congestion and misery, at least.

Also then, any sort of this detoxing does make meds work better, since the body isn’t full of stuff it shouldn’t be.

Detoxing should be a regular thing, and eating better. I do believe in whole foods eating, I’m not into it as much as I’d prefer, but it’s something I try to do the best I can in, with the limited energy and money that I have to use. I’ve not been a high energy person my entire life. I had more as a child, of course, most children are full of energy, aren’t they? ;) I have four of them that have proved that. As they get older their personalities come out more and being an introvert myself I see it in two of my children, they get a bit more low-energied as they get older. One of my children in an extrovert and he has boundless energy. It’s something I’ve thought about for so many years, how to get energy. If something inspires me to action I do have a lot of energy, but it’s costly to my body. I’m hoping I can prove out that it’s helpful to do this detox and actually feel a bit younger again. I don’t want to be younger again, only not feel older than I have to, with the capacity to actually feel better at any age than the “non-healthy-eater/non-detoxer.”

I do want to do this because I’m so very sensitive to the environment, chemicals, smells, all sorts of things, and if my appetite improves, sensitivities de-sensitize a tad, that would be wonderful. I wasn’t always so much as I am now. When I was young I felt good, just hated itchy things, so I was sensitive, but that sort of thing got worse for me as I got older, and I had some sort of headaches in my later elementary years, and then when I was 16 I started having what many years later I found out were migraines. It is probably semi-hormone related, but semi-intestinal in some way, and other toxins related that are in the body from contact, ingestion, etc. Cleaning things up will be a start. I have a good tinticure for females that I’ve never opened, and I’ll do things in stages, bowels first, and see how that helps, and then there are some other tinticures for other needs that can aide fighting against migraines, for one, and aide my generally well-being as a female member of the human race.

So that’s what I’m up to of late. It’s all week, then we’ll see how things are. I have to drink a lot of water everyday with the herbal formula. I feel like I’ll float away on a raging river, thinking about it from this side of the experience. ;)
