We were looking for a new laptop for me, specs important, build feel important. We didn’t find anything worthwhile.
So the other thing I wanted, besides a UHD 4K laptop was, a UHD 4K large monitor for my desktop (which I built long ago, it feels.) We were at BestBuy and went to look where we had so recently purchased our lovely Sony 65x850C. Over on the other side there were the smaller ones. I knew there was one model that fit my bill. It was cheaper there than on Amazon, wasn’t perfect, but as good as I’d really be mostly happy, Android TV, 4 HDMI inputs, and Sony as the maker.
I have a 43″ monitor with this: my desktop running at 3840×2160 60FPS, a DirecTV mini-genie (not 4K), and my PS4.
Even better I have the Android TV interface, Netflix 4K programming, everything upscaled looks great too. My office isn’t a bright room, it’s gorgeous all the time. XBR-43x830C is really nice on a desk, and will handle things nicely in the future. $699.99 is a great price. I am happier with computing and PS4 play. Better than a laptop, for now. I don’t see anything worth while coming about until end of the year, at the earliest.
