Seasons progress and now it’s October. Thankfully the hot days of summer are behind us for the rest of the year.

I love the way the air feels and the cold mornings, the warm days, just not too hot and humid usually, which is a nice pre-winter.

October is when most of our trees leaves turn color and drop, this maple has spotty color already, in September. (Photo: September 28, 2022)

Autumn colors are wonderful. It’s been very dry the last week and forward seem will be so, cooler nights can bring on that color!

The best of the best is my Japanese Bloodgood Maple in the front yard, it turns bloodgood red last and brings us solidly to Thankgiving and past that with the glorious red tree and matt of fallen red leaves to Christmas.
