Today is a day that is tough already, for me. I didn’t sleep soundly all night, but did sleep soundly when I wasn’t awakened each time … like 5 times. Anyhow, I’m dragging, and nothing is feeling good about anything thus far.

I picked up my phone, and see Sprint tweeted a link about the Evo View 4G tablet being released June 24. The information at the link was good, and bad, really ugly.

All along the deal was that BB had the HTC Flyer and the pen wasn’t included, but that the Sprint HTC Evo View (same thing as the Flyer, except one is wi-fi and the other is 3G/4G, plus internal memory differences, basically speaking) would include the digital pen.

Now it’s worded as “limited time” the digital pen is included, and the wordage has it saying it’s $79.99 for the pen separately, so add THAT to your wonderful savings in buying the device as soon as it’s available.

That makes me mad.

I’m not so sure what I’ll do. I don’t see how I’ll get it. I want to reduce my phone plan to lesser and use a tablet more. My HTC Evo is a great phone, but I don’t HAVE to have 4G on it (don’t live in 4G area, will only travel there while shopping or something, and it’s not good enough to turn on 4G with how it drains the battery when not close to a charger.)

The data plans being offered for the Spring HTC Evo View will be starting at $34.99 for 3Gb of data a month. Reading the little print, that’s not right. It’s really $44.99 a month, and if you have an EVERYTHING plan on another device, then you get $10 of when you bundle … so then, that little data plan for the tablet, want GPS on it? fork over $2.99 a day, or $10.00 a month, ADD-ON. Holy ….

So gee whiz. Forget this all. Demote my HTC Evo phone to a little nuthin’ plan, and put a big plan on the tablet. Forget GPS and all that in my HTC Evo. Forget tons of unlimited data, blah, blah, blah. I just need to call my DH, the house. I use it for most everything else. A tablet could or will take most of that away from the Evo phone so … do the math.
