

This is what it looked like after some flux and heat work.
The butane soldering iron just doesn’t have enough oomph to get it all without running out of gas.
Why did it come off in the first place? No it wasn’t forced, it gave way while being wiggled gently. Came clean off and couldn’t get the fan plug out of it for 5 more minutes of fiddling in the first place. It wouldn’t budge out of there.
Trying for 5 minutes when I had it out of the PS5 means it wouldn’t have come out for nothing inside it without this pulling out result.
People online are mean, they say “you force it too hard” or “LOL you ripped it out” and such. Garbage. It’s the connector not securely enough on the board and the fan’s plug too tightly in the connector.
