October 7, 2026 in the afternoon, my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra arrived.
I opened it and appreciated it for thinness and weight being less.
I got my WSKEN Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra – Zero Bubble kit and started the protection install.
Can I say it went without a hitch… No. Emphatically no. My split screen had Massive amounts of bubbles under the skin and I couldn’t get them out with the squeegee and it was royally messed up. I took it off.
Well onto the second skin, hope this works. I literally started from scratch, making sure the screen was clean and fleck free.
The apparatus was ok, the sheets holding the skin seemed fine, but pulling the cover off the sheet it seemed there was a bend in the skin below.
Yup. Anyway, I got it on Way too many bubbles again, but I was able to get MOST of them out, point is it’s not perfect and basically the bubbles are there but screen on it’s ok. That one little squiggly bend is near the power button area. It a defect in the system application to install.
I lost my ability to be ok with the system.
Then I put the glass portion on the cover screen. WHAT THE HECK. There is a stuck bubble that won’t go to the edge for nothing. How did this happen?
I do have a second glass piece for another time. Yay. I am mostly concerned with the folding screen for protection.
My silicone magnetic case has two screen protectors for the cover screen. I have that as backup. Yay. No I need more something for the folding screen.
I almost got another WSKEN set that didn’t have the rollers.
So the point it, it was was brand new phone, no fingers on screens ever, only cleaning tissue and cloth to dry, then installation, and bubbles, bubbles, bubbles, but no where near a bathtub.
