For a long enough time we’ve been a Netflix subscriber (since 2012) this is the one I like alot. If you don’t Netflix, you aren’t missing what you don’t know.
Crunchyroll/VRV subscriber (for quite a few years now) good value if you like anime.
Amazon Prime Video (come with Amazon Prime membership) so many benefit to having Prime, something on Prime Video worth watching here and there, but I don’t see this as more than AMAZON PRIME which I love for stuff.
Disney+ — subscribed for three years and watched one full show the first year, and parts of a couple others in the next years, and hated every Marvel thing I tried to watch that premiered on Disney+. I gave up and canceled this past month, and the price has gone up making it all the worse for the wear.
Diseased Future
I hate all the streaming packages available now. It’s a disease.
TV is so expensive. We went to Youtube.TV and even that seems expensive, I really have no use for it. Only hubby uses it. We used to have satellite, DirecTV. That is a dinosaur model. Which is why any streaming TV service is OK but … only Youtube.TV has enough of the Sports at the least price.
The next tier will be paying a whole lot to get content while suffering through horrendous ad campaigns as part of that tier. Having to Pay through the nose to have no ads.
Currently even some content on services have ads on some shows (Hello HULU) no matter that you pay for no ads.
Back when we went streaming for TV we tried HULU for a month, it was getting so that having enough DVR wasn’t saving any money by switching.
PS Vue, I could live with it, but it died as we started up with it. So sad.
Philo was OK, but hubby hated it.
Youtube.tv he liked so that’s that.
Collecting Making It Your Own
Some content comes out on Blu-ray & DVD, some only on DVD. The rest never on disc.
Forget Vudu and Movies Anywhere. I detest having to always stream MY content. [Emby is my domain. I watch it in my house inside my own Network. I also use my music like this, in Emby, don’t use Spotify unless I listen while using my PS4, rare that I do that while gaming though. Any other music that I don’t have, Youtube on my PC is my choice now.]
The show on Disney+ I love is Marvel Agents of SHEILD [I watched the whole thing twice or more on Netflix]. I can’t even buy all the seasons on disc. They just didn’t release 6-7 or if they did, in obscure ways and there aren’t enough copies out there. I decided watching it on Disney+ would just make me mad (Since I couldn’t buy it to put in my collection like other show I love have treatment for.) All those Marvel shows on Netflix were good or better. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Punisher, loved them. Iron Fist I liked. Defenders nah. So I would like all that on disc, besides the Defenders.
Then there are Star Trek shows on another streaming platform.
This is an exercise in futility at this point. Is detrimental to my inner feelings so… I shall publish this, but I won’t share it to Twitter.
