I ordered a new PS5 fan port. Should be here in a week or less. I didn’t like how the old one was turning out in the end, much worse looking taking the side track pads off.

Just decided it was a safe bet to get a brand new one, found one on Ebay should be here in the next week.

I also got a bottle of fluid flux, UV masking stuff, and Leaded solder, arriving tomorrow maybe.

I am working with the new soldering iron and I could melt stuff, working on a tiny 2004 WiFi board to play with, just couldn’t get the unleaded solder to flow, just melt some and quickly cold. I was doing it right but it was just so difficult to work with.

I had a small piece of copper I cut from a roll of it I have, and could get solder onto it, but it wouldn’t flow and could get it all over it.

I want to tin both sides of copper pieces for the PS5 board, this lead-free solder just isn’t cutting it, plus, liquid flux instead of the paste I have might help too.

At any rate tomorrow I can probably study up and getting thing right before the new part comes.
