Nook

I got a Nook (Barnes and Noble eReader) -03for my birthday, July 18, 2010. I loved it. I’m not as thrilled with it anymore, well, pretty soon after I got it actually. I wasn’t super happy that the Nook Color came out not so very far from when DH got me the Nook 3G+WiFi. Since then I have wanted a regular tablet, and there are a few on the market and coming out sometime soon that I’m interested in. I’m hoping to get one this year. I love the NOOK app that I have on my HTC Evo phone. (If the NOOK app acts that way on a tablet, I’ll be over the top about it. 🙂 ) — It does, but …

I got an HTC Evo View tablet for my birthday in 2011. I love it. The NOOK app on it is great, nearly, but it often does hurt my eyes since it’s an LED light under it (not the e-ink kind like my first NOOK was, of course) so I don’t read much, not until B&N makes the app work better with my HTC devices, controlling the brightness correctly. (Even on my phone.) If you move the slider down (left) the whole thing goes black. The only thing I can do then is delete the NOOK app and then re-install it. Nothing else has helped me get it back to visible (the text.) I always choose a yellow-er background, but they all are still too bright for my eyes. So … I only read on my devices when I’m in good, good light. Ugh. Sad. I read paper books way more still.

Purchased eBooks (my husband has purchased more than those, he takes my old NOOK around sometimes)
