I last wrote about the weather 15-day outlook for the last half of March 2006. As it goes thus far, it’s changed so that it’s not nearly as bad as “they” proposed that day I wrote about it all. 🙂
I’ve had a migraine since yesterday too. Right now it’s a lot better. It started out yesterday morning on the right side, Excedrin that I took seemed to knock it out, but some risidual symptoms floated on back later on, but nothing more than that for many hours, then the actual pain of migraine in the head came back, but on the left side, and no matter what I did has persisted there since late afternoon yesterday, until just in the last 1/2 an hour. Sigh.
That’s just how it goes. It’s not the worst sort of migraine I can get, just the drag-me-out sort that lasts and makes for an irritating day/night/day, or whatever combo it brings. It makes my other symptoms worse the longer it hangs out, but overall it’s not the worst sort still. It’s just severely aggravating at first, and drags out just like that, but then again I get used to it and it’s just the “gotta wait until it goes away, and I’ve been through this plenty of times before to know it’ll go away eventually, get worse or better before that, come back worse, but eventually I’ll be free of it again for a day or more, weeks or a month” or so.
DH is out and due back tonight. It’s nice when he’s here for a migraine, then I don’t have to see and feel icky things in the sink or fridge, can lie down for awhile if I need to try to rest (more easily than when he’s not here), and can help me with a back, shoulder, neck, head rubdown if he’s so inclined, which is my best defense against this very sort of migraine I have now. The ones that really have a ton more pain and nausea are fairly worthless for rubdowns since sensitivities are just so over the edge that nothing is bareable but to curl up in a ball, or sit in a hot shower and let water pour all over. Ah, those are few though, Thanks Be Unto God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 🙂
Allergies continue to be ramped up, in the 10.2 High range usually this last week. I am affected, but also my 2 older children are as well.
Correlation: We all have had vaccinations. DH is affected too. Our youngest child has had no vaccinations and struggles the least-to-not-at-all to pollen-ish Spring/Fall allergy things so far. FWIW Along these lines eldest child had vac’s up to 4 years of age, and middle child up to 18 months. Between the two it’s the eldest that gets the worse allergies, has more sensitivities. I have massive sensitivities too. Is it built-in from birth? Somewhat, yes I think. But it does go to understanding that if we are more sensitive, hard wired to it, then couldn’t external things affect that sensitivity and increase it? Like injecting poisonous substances into our bloodstreams? I theory-ize that it is so. I was vacc’ed in my childhood and at 13 years of age we moved to a new state and they at a clinic forced me to get a whole series of vacs that I’d already had, since my mother couldn’t provide enough proof to satisfy them. Urghhhhhh…..
So about the day that it is, it’s St. Patrick’s Day. I am part Irish, but from what I know of my history it’s Protestant Irish Heritage. In any case I always liked this day, I used to wear shamrock dangly earrings in my teens and 20’s sometimes, but without wearing any green externally I always claimed a “not pinch-able” status since my eyes are green 🙂 Others don’t see that always, but if they look closely they do see it. My eyes are deep (olive-ish) green with gold-ish tracings (patterned zig-zaggies all around the pupil in the green iris) sort of a “flower” look.
Happy St. Patricks’s Day to everyone! I love having Corned Beef anyday of the year, and especially on this day, but we don’t have any today. I wanted to get one when we were at Harry’s the other week, but they were out, and DH went there alone last time and forgot to check and see if they had any. I prefer a natural corned beef, not cured, so scrumptious! Oh, the agony of thinking of it, the taste, texture, smell, and knowing I don’t have the ability to do any of that. 🙁
