My oven went nuts last evening. Preheated the oven for 20 min @370 degrees. Put the sourdough dinner rolls into the oven to bake… a few minutes later the eye of Sauron appeared with a bang and a flash coming first.
I’ve had ovens fail, but never like that!

I wish I had a recording of it, or could download it from my brain.
Have to wait for a replacement, slow shipping.
A cheap 3rd party part would have come sooner and been way less expensive, no thank you.
We did get the rolls finished in the air fryer, in two batches. That worked out fine. Lower temp, just 7 minutes … brown and hot and baked to doneness.
I can’t bake a big bread loaf either. My bread pan fits diagonally in my air fryer, but that’s not going to work.
I can make a round and will have to figure out alot of factors before doing that.
I don’t have a small Dutch oven.
Fun days.
