Autumn seems to have arrived

Post Published:

For the last week it’s been not as summer-like. It’s like the VWOMP! that is summer heat has just vanished.

Into the 80’s is just bearable now, whereas in Summer proper, it’s overwhelming above 72 degrees F.

So all temperatures are so-so at worst now. In The South it’s not generally like this until into September quite a bit.  It’s still possible that the weather will turn more towards hot summer, but so far, over a week, it hasn’t.

One of our Red Maple trees is starting to show some color.  On another note, our Yoshino Cherry trees have dropped about all of their leaves already, sparsely any hanging on. They’ve done this kind of thing that last few or more years (dropping leaves early) but they didn’t always.

I need to trim my knockout roses a bit, and some other areas of trees, suckers and branches just going the wrong direction, and such.

Crepe Myrtle
Crepe Myrtle – suckers need cut.

There are other outside project that need done, and this coming season of autumn  weather is exactly the kick I need to get to work.
