I’ll be pruning unwanted stuff away soon, and the point here is I don’t even know what’s going on with them. I ripped them out because we had Green Lynx Spider all over them in 2017 and nothing was too good since then, not sure of all the rose idiocy problems or which ones, I’m just going to prune stuff off and keep them growing but contained in a smaller footprint than before.
I used to have several red knockout bushes, and then three pink knockout rose bushes. I loved the pink ones. So pretty and the cameras love those colors and definition of how it translates to images compared to the dark red.
I had Peonies many years ago, and both lovely pink and then also dark magenta. Pink are a glory to behold on paper or monitor or IRL.
I want to have Peonies again, and I only lost mine because I was moving them, digging them up, and put them down and forgot about them ….. I lost them all.
Where we had them was perfect for so long, but the tree nearby was young, as it got bigger the area became too shaded. Things rootstock gets big and needs moved and it was hard to get them out, but I got it all out, and wasted it.
I had iris there in the early 2000, it all just died away. Lambs Ear too.
I had massive planting of Host that got so thick and wonderful, I had to move them because of changes around and the variegated hosta all died. I had lost heart, left the green ones in two containers for many years, finally transplanted them last year under the Japanese Maple, and I also have monkey grass there and it’s spreading better, and the Hosta are actually spreading a bit too now. Hurray!
Where the big tree that caused my Peony problem is, it’s got a lot of weeds a “bern” area, some varities of young oaks, and other junk. If one of the oaks is what I hope, I’ll plant that eventually if it’ll move ok, in the back corner of the backyard.
