Reasoning the why of how things are

Time sinks everyone eventually.

For me, personally, I feel rather sunk. How did it get like this?

Over time I lost my vehicle because it was too small for our family, we needed something bigger, got a Pontiac Montana. My car, Honda Civic, was driven to death by my hubby.

I couldn’t really go anywhere without my children, so eventually hubby used the Montana and drove that to death, ended up getting a used Suburban after that, and then another, and then a used not very old Durango that has been a nightmare and I don’t like it at all.

Overall the story is that once the Montana aged out I hadn’t been driving very much anymore.

When hubby flew somewhere I’d load up whatever the vehicle was with our kids and take him to the airport and go back home again until he needed to be picked up.

It’s been many years since that last time I’ve done that. As for any other driving, hubby never let me. He’s a bad passenger. Control freak.

I don’t like being a passenger all the time.

As it goes, all along we setup everything to be wrong.

In the beginning, we went grocery shopping together. Always together.

When shit hits the fan that means he goes alone. It’s been mostly that way for several years.

The bottom line is, for many year he goes away with our one vehicle for a day or a week or even longer, leaving us here with nothing to go anywhere in.

I’m not an Uber using person, nor taxi caller. If push came to shove maybe a one-off, but not a regular user, no way.

A suburbs living person needs a vehicle of their own.

I have no power of a say in anything anymore. I have a crappy kitchen garbage can because of it.

Last week my daughter and I took the Durango on a 3 hour round trip to get something. I drove there, she drove back.

Today or tomorrow we’ll be doing the monthly Costco run with that vehicle. Ugh.

He says I can drive it anytime I want. My wants are limited to when it’s available which is hardly ever.

Someday before I’m too old I’ll get a Honda Civic Hatchback Sport w/ Manual Transmission.

Then I’ll have say in things again.
