The first week I felt flat. NO emotion. A few days in I started feeling minor migraines. The next week I woke up 2 days in a row with raging migraine pain, took Excedrin then back to sleep. Wake later with less or no pain but a pervasive migraine in my head on left without the pain and feeling some quite better with other migraine symptoms.
Overall it’s now been 20 days, I’ve used a lot of Eletriptan these past days.
I can’t even place exactly when, unless I wrote in on a piece of paper that is in a pile, therefore not very accessible.
I was given this prescription to lessen migraines, and deal with some of my pain. Could take up to 45 days for the good effects to come.
Well first half of that is almost here and I have much pain and weird feelings and it’s just no good. I mean I have a perpetual migraine that gets worse or gets better but rarely leave me a moments full peace.
I don’t feel like myself. Like any foggy brain from anxiety and ADHD and hormonal imbalance of post-menopause, is now MAGNIFIED.
I have a weird hard rubber plate in my forehead. (what it feels like)
Burning pressure in the left side of my face/head. Sometimes it’s not so bad when I wake up, but kicks into high gear later in the morning in those cases.
The thing is, it can help me with my sleep issues, but so far I am not having healing sleep at all.
I wake up hurting more and my arms or back so tense and pulling and curling my fingers so much pressure it feels like I’m going to burst, it’s so much worse now with second and further week on with Amitriptyline.
It’s so painful, it’s like my left hand is on a pulley and someone is pulling the wheel around, creak creak creak, putting more and more tension in it.
My pain is singing Soprano.
For some time now, before all this medicine I can feel buzzing inside me in my legs, feet, shoulders, arms, head. Cold buzzing.
This medicine isn’t doing anything for it.
I’ve gotten to a point of understanding my problems from neurodivergent lens and co-morbid conditions, and a modern fibromyalgia understanding can be be seen as well. It explains my Storms and Seasons of misery in my life, and much more so the past 10-20 years.
Why am I still alive.
