Last evening. Win 11. I worked on it, best I could, which was nothing that helped. Desktop Explorer reloading every few seconds. Win key wouldn’t open anything.
It was hell and horrible. I couldn’t figure out what was happening. I finally had a browser open and it wasn’t shut down like everything was if I could get anywhere on the computer. I searched and found that others have had the same thing in the past and back to Win 10, but I wanted to go to sleep and was very frustrated, wanted a resolve so I wouldn’t dwell on it all night affecting my sleep.
So I reset and keep all my stuff. Goodnight.
This am, awake long enough to see what it did, nothing, it was waiting to progress. Why? It was plugged in and awake with the lid only partially down so no cat would sit on it ALL NIGHT and had no button prompts for me that would have to be pressed to progress. What happened?
Well I pushed the lid open more and fairly soon it moved to restart. And then worked through the % numbers 1% and up then got to 75% and has been there for at least 15 min. So I left it. UGH!
So I am miffed that my 2023 Asus either updated when It shouldn’t or something just went Wiley wrong.
I just had to vent about it here and may add more as things progress or don’t.
After awhile I was able to login, and voila… I haven’t signed into my Microsoft account, but I was before that. So my laptop has a local account.
I had to retrace where my creds for installing Quickbooks was. It was not fun.
I don’t have it all up to snuff yet, but all the updates are in Quickbooks, that was not fun.
