The rain we were supposed to be swathed with today is below us, not the ernesto stuff, other stuff that was supposed to wet a whole big band of land across the south (not far, but from west to east with north-ish GA being in the middle of it.)
There are some dark clouds to the south of us that we can see now, radar also shows all the stuff down south, but not really moving UP, but over and up, so it may not “get us” much, maybe, maybe not.
We need the rain.
Ernesto isn’t going to give us anything or much of anything either it seems. Too bad, like I said above, and in a previous post about rain, we need the rain.
I wrote the above a few hours ago, we left before I was done typing, and I just let the post sit.
There are some high clouds to the South of us right now, and they are flashing every so often, and you can see lightening strikes in them sometimes. From what I saw earlier we wouldn’t get anything of moisture except for the humitity of usual-ness, and that’s what has happened thus far. The radar isn’t showing that cloud-heavy-rain stuff below us to be moving towards us, it’s just sitting down there teasing from afar. So be it, we’ll get something eventually, maybe another tropical storm, or just summer thunder storms. We had one the other night, it did pour down hard for a bit, and then lighter rain, then it quit. We might have gotten a bit of rain last night too, we were out and it rained where we were, and it being dark and hot it’s hard to know when we got home if it rained or how much, but I seem to think it did from a few things that it was like this morning out in the yards. Not a lot, just some.
In any case it is useful to get rain of any sort, but MORE is what we need. We are under by around 10, more or less, inches this year now.
