Guts seem impossible to fix but I’m trying

Impossible dream. Yes, that is true. I can’t fix my guts. Lets say they weren’t great all along but not this bad. What happened at the end of 2020 was a virus that went through everyone in the house, and I was hit with horrible guts since then.

I dealt with it better after a while in 2021 but my previous allergies ended up being worse and worse and what I could and could eat, tried so much to eat better, had cooked from scratch, and less American diet than most people.

But after that 2020 Christmas to mid-January 2021 illness, I lingered dragging and feeling like something the cat dragged in, allergies presenting since 2019 as red itchy eyes, I tried and failed getting healing traction.

I did AIP eating and started feeling so much better, for awhile.

Then I tried eating normal and had horrible gut blow outs and started KETO and loved it.

I could eat chocolate, cacao, tomato, peppers, avocado …. lovely.

After several months I stopped losing weight and was having hives and sinus issues worse. So started Histamine research after all that time finally, started supplements like Stinging Nettle, I couldn’t tell a difference. So not eating KETO, had to limit my food to histamine non-reactive stuff which is the most limiting of all diets on earth so flipping horrible.

Really it all come down to GUTS. Histamine is all over the body. All sort of problems come from inflammation, and guts are connected to all the icky of skin and everything about a human.

Stress makes it all worse. Enough. I can deal with my guts in heat, and we have summer’s here, NE GA, but that doesn’t last much, it’s mid-August, we have a few more weeks of hot then cooler going into autumn and it’s wonderful until May or June when the heat and humidity climb again. Nearly 8 great months a year.

Most of my stress is from my hubby.

So now I’m trying to approach my guts as guts, not as guts with histamine issues or any other issues. Just my digestion, guts something somewhere is ffffffff’d.

Since I was a kid, going to the bathroom was my least favorite thing, I had no ability to feel good about it.

So Veggies and fruit, nuts, seeds, whole grains … hey, all I ever tried to do was Spelt berries and Kamut berries, red peppers, tomatoes, apples, bananas, nuts like walnut, pecans, almonds, cashew etc. I had to give all this up for HIT.

Organic to the core. Organic is my middle name.

KETO doesn’t allow much carbs. No whole grain bread.

AIP doesn’t allow grains. Or seeds.

I always feel a bit better about my whole spelt bread and whole kamut waffles. Like I don’t feel worse and probably because I HAVEN’T had them in a few months, I’m in the pittance of hating trying to find fresh food to cook or eat with a Histamine plan. I hate that. I hate IT.

I get migraines and eating with a migraine is important, restrictions ruin everything.

I want my guts healthy, that means eating more of that big paragraph up there. Not concerning myself with HISTAMINE FOOD RESTRICTIONS unless I restrict myself because of whatever ….
