I finally got this product, but went to chat and further customer service to get it to me. Arrived on…
DH has promised to take a few days off and get some things done that have been waiting … 🙂 So the time is here. The other day he did take something he had, a rental vehicle for another reason, and use it to get the pile of junk out of the corner of our…
To see ballet on TV is nice, and I’ll be looking for DVD’s a good versions of The Sleeping Beauty, no doubt, but I really have to say it’s a live perfomance that one can appreciate more, and treasure the experience. [See the post previous to this one, Sleeping Beauty – The Russian National Ballet…
My 7 year old daughter and I saw Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty (ballet) yesterday (Sunday, February 26, 2006). It was part of the UGA’s 10th Anniversary concert series, held in the Fine Arts Center. The ballet was lovely, enchanting, engaging. Quite a memory to be made. The dancers were wonderful, their performances near flawless or…
My littlest one got sick this morning. Hindsight tells me he has a virus that has been bugging at him for a day or so. He has wanted to eat, but refused to eat much all day yesterday, supper the night before he didn’t want either. He’s also been more prone to cry and act…
Tomorrow should be a fine late Spring day, only it’s still Winter 😉 The Weeping Willow tree is greened out and getting it’s long lush look back, after dormancy for the “winter” ha ha. The few cold snap promises we’ve had haven’t done any damage to the trees that are waking up. Yes we’ve had…
Early last month (January 2006) I found out that the Russian National Ballet would be at UGA for their concert series … performing The Sleeping Beauty (Tchaikovsky) in February (26th.) I asked my hubby to please call and find out if there were tickets available and that if it was too expensive for all of…
I was able to get a new laptop this past week, finally. I’ve been using the desktop, which has been an upgrade in progress for some time, very stable since changing the motherboard to an Athlon 64 instead of the older (not THAT old though) Athlon XP motherboard. The board wasn’t that old, as I…

Today is “President’s Day” in the U.S. … a holiday I’ve always been loathe to “celebrate”. It’s not a “holiday” holiday, just a federal “no mail or banks” sort of day. You know, the things that are federal or nearly so, like schools of all sorts. 😉 Long we celebrated Washington’s birthday on Feb. 22…
So the Westminster Dog Show for 2006 is over. The dog I liked was the first doggie to win his Group to get into the “Best In Show”. I didn’t write about it. I didn’t feel the need to. I did write about the French Bulldog earlier, but that is just a post about wanting…

Sounds lovely and refreshing! Warmed me up inside despite the temps still being quite numbing here. 🙂
Thanks, and you are very welcomed! Today I saw a pair of Eastern Bluebirds out the kitchen window, both had lovely strands of dried grass in their mouths. Even they think it’s Springtime! Birds all over have been twittering more and more each day for the last few weeks, and it’s outragious sounding now in the morning, and at other times of the day, and sunset. The birdies are all nesting and getting ready to nest. I looked in the Nestbox I have on the deck, which needs to be installed again, it’s just sitting there (since the horrid things within the box the other year) and inspite of that, the Bluebirds have build a fine nest.
We got a pole to install it on tonight, I’ll get it up tomorrow. Then I will hope for a good season of young Bluebirds once again.
All in all it’s nice that Spring is here, but it is a bit early, very early in many ways, and it’s not a “sure thing” that a harsh storm won’t push through still, but all of nature is saying “it’s here!”.
But that just all means that there is more pollen around that ever and it’s gonna get TOO hot too soon, so give me your cold when THAT happens PLEASE! 🙂
