• Roasty Toasty

The Autumn chill has decended. I made a fire yesterday afternoon, it got just a tad too chilly in the main living space. The temperature overnight this, past night, went below freezing, and a fire in the fireplace first thing was definitely in order this bright morn. There’s nothing like a wood fire on a…

  • Preparing for Thanksgiving Day

It’s just nine days now until Thanksgiving Day, the American Holiday. Next day then is Victoria’s b-day. It’s always something like this, her’s just before, on, or just after. I do want to get her stuff wrapped up and totally planned out today or tomorrow, and then plot out Thanksgiving fully. For me the Thanksgiving…

Hi there. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m not sure I have your name right — Is it Marysue? I remember you used to comment at Carmon’s a lot, then I didn’t see you for a long time and now you’re back.

This is off-topic, but poking around your site I see that you are quite the Metal Mama! Have you ever heard of Pastor Bob Beeman and Sanctuary, The Rock and Roll Refuge? Just curious.

Ruthanne, call me Marysue, or Maisy.

Thanks for the title upgrade, Metal Mama ๐Ÿ˜‰

I have heard of Bob Beeman, but haven’t had more contact with the name more than a bit of familiarity in the context you introduced it, if that makes sense. [Of course I Googled for info and have more of a clue about it all!]

As in all things, I feel so unworthy looking at things from my perspective, I’m a Metal Mama, but not the ultimate as that name might imply to some. :veryshocked:

I do thank you for the compliment though. I really do love intense music!

Thanks for stopping by! I’m in the process of merging my other blog into this one, and I’ll concentrate more on posting here. I’ve not posted much anywhere, here or there or elsewhere, the last few months, topics haven’t been too word-prompting for me. FWIW.

  • Changes Beginning

I have decided to change some of my websites, and through that idea THIS blog will change, I am merging details from another blog into this one as well as actual posts. The posts will come in the next week or so, hopefully, as I weed through them and spiffy up categories before importing them.…

  • www gone

I had my options for this site to use both “www” and not use it to work … so anyone could come here with or without it and get to the right page. In WP I had it set to use the “www.” It worked mostly all the time, until recently I just can’t get…

  • Stryper

I seem not to have written about Stryper on this blog. So here is a post about Stryper. See my Page (on the sidebar) about their November 3rd (2005) concert in Atlanta, GA. My husband and I went together. I saw them many years ago in the mid-80’s. I’ve long considered them one of my…

  • What we are doing tonight

[UPDATE: 11-04-2005 See my Stryper Reborn Page on my other site for pictures from the concert, taken with a camera phone, nothing pretty, not exciting, just a view from afar, we could see it all better, of course, camera phone lense is very tiny and non-zoom-able.] Earthlink Live – Nov. 3, 2005 Stryper w/House of…

My ears are still ringing!!! Let me add that it was an excellent night.

Yes, it was. I’m glad the children were away from home last evening too, worn out by the family that kept them while we were away. They are still asleep. ๐Ÿ™‚

Coffee, where’s the coffee … (I haven’t had a big night out in YEARS!!!!!)

BTW, my ears are ringing a tad … nearly back to normal.

I really liked both bands, just to note that here. I’ll post more about the concert later.

Frankies camera phone has a few snaps on it, and whenever he gets them uploaded I’ll put a few here. They are not good photos, only a camera phone too far away to capture any real detail.

I could have brought my good Canon Dig. Rebel, but didn’t. I didn’t KNOW I could. I wish I had. But that’s the end of that. ๐Ÿ™ Well, only to say, the Canon Digital Rebel is not a pocket camera, get that straight, it’s not a camera to bring to a concert and have to hide it if they don’t allow it, it’s big, bulky. Dorky to wear too, if you aren’t active using it.

  • Stryper Day

Today is the day of the Stryper concert we are going to attend this evening. So today is dedicated to ‘Stryper-Only Music Listening’ ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Tag – I’m not it

Kelly tagged me with a “tag blog game” about 5 favorite songs right now … and I’ve thought of it, and just can’t come up with any answers really. I mean, I am very much an INTP and for so many things if there can be more than one answer, there are many answers that…

Thanks, anyway, and I so agree with you about Psalter music! To changed the Psalms to metrical, rhyming verses puts them in the class of hymns, which is not a bad thing, but then, so often the versifying is badly done and then they’re set to tunes that don’t fit the meaning of the Psalm well. I much prefer chanting the Psalms – that way you can sing a real translation of every Psalm.

  • FLOCK

I’m trying out FLOCK. Find it at www.flock.com. What is FLOCK? It’s a tool to use with blogs. It’s a browser too, built off of Mozilla. I use Firefox and love it. FLOCK is not a replacement, it’s still in BETA. It’s a way to aggregate posting of your blogs, if you have more than…

  • Conversation Ender

I saw this RQ on someone’s blogger profile: You’ve got to make contact with the alien leader. How will you tell when the conversation is finished? My Answer: Obviously the writer of that question has never been to Singapore. ๐Ÿ™„ When the leader says “Nanoo nanoo” he’s done with you. I mean, if you don’t…
