• It’s that blah time of the year

Christmas is coming soon! I usually do love it very much, never knowing what I’m exactly going to get that morning. Not this year, apparently. Hubby has said I’m only getting 1 thing (but couple that with the TV we purchased last week.) Also there’s been talk about how I’m getting stuff anyway because of so-called “family…

  • Sony Bravia 4K UHD Android TV

Mid-December is already here! Wow this month has gone fast. Weather has been up and down, very cold, very warm and in-between up and down. The Highlight of the Month is: We got a 4K Sony Bravia TV last week. I love it. It’s a 65X850C, plenty of HDMI inputs and also got an HT-NT3…

I felt the same way, but when i turned off my TV this morning it had an update. I connected the directv line to the TV and configured it and now it works. So thanks Sony you got it done with 2 weeks to spare

Thanks for your comments. I keep checking for an update every couple of days, did so last night, nothing. Today others were using it, so after I read your comment, I got to check the tv a bit later and had to manually look, though auto is “on” , yes there was an update and… indeed now RVU is working! But DirecTv still has to add us in for another client (they are reticent to do so, annoying.)

I ended up just replacing my office location. Hubby can argue with them another time about getting the mini-genie added back.

  • Warframe Trophy Glitch PS4

I’ve been playing Warframe on PS4 a lot the past month. I’d played it off and on with one of my PSN Friends for a long time. Lately I’ve been playing more by myself, public and solo. (Logging in every day when I can.) I worked really hard to upgrade my new Dethcube and my…

Grilled Cheese and brownies. [Weird post, huh? Just a dumb thing to write one day, playing with fonts. Keeping it here for posterity.]

  • Autumn seems to have arrived

For the last week it’s been not as summer-like. It’s like the VWOMP! that is summer heat has just vanished. Into the 80’s is just bearable now, whereas in Summer proper, it’s overwhelming above 72 degrees F. So all temperatures are so-so at worst now. In The South it’s not generally like this until into September…

  • Our 23rd Anniversary Recap

    Our 23rd Anniversary Recap

Yesterday was our (hubby and me) 23rd Anniversary. Wow doesn’t time fly by?!!! We went to Red Hare brewery in the afternoon, our first visit there. It was their 4th Anniversary Celebration. The image below is part of a mural on one wall inside the brewery, Oktoberfest image. {I had to vignette it because some…

  • The Waiting Game

What’s bad about cable internet? It goes out sometimes, and lately it sure has. This past Wednesday it was out for a while in the afternoon, threatening my Starhawk Community Night play … but it came back and stayed, thankfully. So last night, I woke up sometime after 2am, no internet. AUGH! In both “no…

We did have cable internet once and it was super fast for about 3 months, then they started throttling or limited our connection. Could barely bring up google or check email after we reached our limit. It seems only the crappy DSL phone companies have unlimited internet because their service is so slow. Chances are your cable internet will suddenly go back to normal high speed in a week or two. Watching movies eats up a lot of your download allowance.

We don’t just have cable internet, it’s a Business tier to ensure no caps, throttling, etc.

Sounds expensive. I’m just thinking about how much time is wasted on slow DSL internet. Adds up to several weeks out of the year.

  • Android 5.1.1 Security Update

My Nexus 5 was rooted, custom recovery, of course, kept it from updating traditionally when the August 2015 Security Update was downloaded and ready to install. I ended up using ADB to  FASTBOOT the image to my Nexus 5. The Flash-All Bat file didn’t work, I had to line-by-line fastboot send each part of what…

  • Sparkle Unleashed on PSN

I’ve been playing Sparkle Unleashed, mostly on PS4, and when playing there, I stream it to Twitch. I was a little miffed when I bought the game that all 3 versions: PS4, PS Vita, PS3, share the same trophy list. Sparkle 2, it’s predecessor, had separate trophy lists. So it goes, I only have to…
